Project Overview
Two Buildings. One Waterfront Site.
A two-storey complex, originally planned as an Arabian bazaar, and a four-level elevated car park on a 1.7-hectare seafront site at Jalan Baiduri 8, Pulau Melaka — approximately 70% structurally complete.
AI Concept Visual — For Illustration Only 01 · Overview
Arab City Melaka is an existing, partially built development — not an operating destination. What stands today is a substantial structure with a distinctive architectural identity, on the Straits of Malacca waterfront.
The site was conceived as part of a larger Arabian-themed development announced in the late 2000s. What was constructed is the two-building component described on this site: the two-storey complex (Building 1) and its car park (Building 2). See Project History (in preparation).

03 · Building composition
One complex. One car park.
AI Concept Visual — For Illustration Only 04 · Architectural features
A recognisable, built identity.
Carved entrance panels
Ornamental panels with Arabian-inspired geometric motifs frame the main entrance.
Tall arched windows
Narrow arches set in contrasting stone surrounds give the long facades their rhythm.
Square rooftop towers
Towers punctuate the roofline of both buildings and read clearly from the seafront.
Cream & sandstone palette
A consistent warm stone finish ties the complex and the car park together.
05 · Existing construction status
Substantially built. Not yet complete.
Based on supplied project information, the structure is approximately 70% complete. The buildings are not finished, not open and not operating. Completion would require further works and approvals.
06 · Waterfront frontage
Road on one side. Sea on the other.

07 · Historical documents
Original Architectural Planning Documents
The original ground- and first-floor retail zoning drawings for Building 1 are available for review. They record the project’s planned layout, themed bazaar zones and non-retail uses.
08 · Illustrative future uses
One structure, several imagined futures.
Uses such as healthcare, education, wellness, culture, retail, hospitality or logistics have been illustrated to show how a partly built structure of this scale might be reused. They are illustrations only — not plans or proposals — and any real use would depend on feasibility studies and regulatory approval.
